Advisory that protects value and de-risks cross-border trade
Aves Strategic Advisors is an independent practice led by Satheesh Kumar Nair, serving clients across West Africa, East Africa and the GCC.
About Aves
Two complementary service lines built on one credential base.
Aves Strategic Advisors serves clients through enterprise risk, governance and forensic audit advisory, and through trade finance-backed procurement, commodity sourcing and trade intermediary services.
The practice rests on 30 years of experience in forensic audit, multi-jurisdictional financial control, and aviation and trade logistics. Clients can engage Aves as a fractional governance advisor or as a credentialed intermediary who structures and de-risks cross-border trade transactions.

How We Work
A clear, documented path from first call to result.
Discover
We define the requirement, the risks and the outcome you need.
Diagnose
Forensic review and counterparty due diligence before any commitment.
Structure & execute
Controls, trade finance instruments and documentation put in place and run.
Report
Dashboards and written reporting so boards and banks see the same facts.
Trade Finance Insights
Three rules that decide whether a letter of credit pays.
Banks deal in documents
Under UCP 600 a letter of credit is separate from the sales contract, and banks examine documents, not goods. A flawless cargo with a discrepant document can be refused.
Five banking days
Banks have a maximum of five banking days after presentation to examine documents. A refusal must list every discrepancy in a single notice within that window.
Pre-file for West Africa
Cargo Tracking Notes (CTN for Liberia, ECTN for Sierra Leone) are filed before loading, avoiding port storage fees and demurrage at Monrovia and Freetown.
